Pineapple

The challenge at 365 Cards today is to use two colors you don't usually use together as your primary colors. I don't tend to use green and yellow as the primary colors on my cards, unless it is around St. Patrick's Day (then it is more green and gold). I am not sure why since I like both colors. Maybe it has something to do with being from Minnesota and those are the dreaded Packer colors! *gasp* I then came across the challenge at BBTB2, which was to use the pineapple cut from Wall Decor and More. I thought a pineapple would be a great way to use green and yellow together! I used the pineapple from Preserves since I don't own Wall Decor and More. I used sketch #214 from CPS for the layout of my card. The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I used a yellow cardstock for the base and adhered some green argyle paper, cut at 5 1/4"x4." I cut a strip of glittery yellow cardstock at 5 1/2"x2 1/2" and adhered it to the card base. All three of my pineapples were cut from Preserves at 2 1/2." I finished it off with some green flowers that I found in my stash. Super simple, but I really wound up liking the look of this one. I left it blank so that I can suit it to any occasion.

  3. Great card. That center pinapple with the cut outs is cute. I don't have this cartridge so I haven't seen much done up with it. And that fabulous paper you used on the end pineapples is perfect. Thanks for playing along with us at BBTB2.
