I was chosen as the guest designer for this weeks's challenge at My Sheri Crafts. The challenge this time is:
"Splish Splash"
create a project with an image that features beach, water, swimming, etc.
Here is the card I created:
The card is 5 3/8"x4 1/8," made of white card stock. I made all my layers at 5 1/2"x4 1/4," so I had to make the card base slightly larger since I like having a border around my images.
The background, sky and waves, are from the "Crocs Rule" Cricut cartridge. I welded a rectangle to the background in order to make it the correct size. I also cut a rectangle from the kraft card stock to act as sand. I added some white gel pen to the waves. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, the Beach Bums set.
The palm tree is from the "Pirates and Mermaids" cartridge. I cut it at 3 1/2." The girl and the beach ball are svgs from SVG Cutting Files. The image is called Tween Beach Girl. I cut her at 2 1/2." I hid her eyes so that I could use a Peachy Keen face. This one comes from the Cartoon Bombshell Face Assortment. I added some white gel pen doodling around the towel and beach ball, then I added some polka dots to her bikini. I colored in her lips with a shiny pink gel pen, then added some blue to her eyes with a marker. The girl and the beach ball are adhered with foam tape.
So, that is my beach-themed creation. I can't wait to see how you are inspired by the theme of "Splish Splash!"
