Snowboarder

My best friend, who currently lives in Washington, is visiting Minnesota for week right now.  I am going up to Duluth tomorrow to see her and her family.  Well, tomorrow night they are celebrating her niece's birthday and my husband and I were invited.  I used to baby sit her every once in a while, so I thought I would make her a birthday card.  She is really into snowboarding, and is very, very good at it, so I made a card featuring a snowboarder that moves!

The card base is from SVG Cutting Files, it is one of the Penny Card Slide Bases.  I cut a piece of white card stock using a die from the Border Dies 2 set by Jaded Blossom for my snow.  I then trimmed it to fit the card base.  I spiced it up with some white sequins.

The snowboarder is attached to a penny, which is attached to another penny on the other side of the background so that the image can be moved around the card.  These card bases from SVG Cutting Files make it so easy to create some awesome cards!

The snowboarder is from the Cricut cartridge "Dude!"

The sentiment is from a stamp set by My Craft Spot.

I used more goodies from Jaded Blossom to create the inside of my card.  I used Card Mat Dies for the background.  I then used Rectangle Dies 2 for the white mat.  The sentiment is from Supersized Birthday Greetings.

Little Ghost

Okay, so I have another Halloween craft for you today.  This time it is a card:

The card base and its layers are from SVG Cutting Files.  It is part of the April Cut Club set, it is called "Card Sketch 24."

The adorable little ghost is also from SVG Cutting Files.  It is also part of the Cut Club, but this one is from August.  I hid the face and used a stamp from Peachy Keen.  It is from the Beginner Happy Family Emojis Face Assortment.  I adhered the ghost with foam tape and covered its eyes in glossy accents.

The three "boos" in the background are from the Halloween Treats 2 stamp set by Jaded Blossom.  I used the Halloween Treats stamp set and the Funny Bunny stamp set, also from Jaded Blossom, to create the speech bubble and sentiment.

Cupcakes!

I have cupcakes for you today!

Both cards are 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I used white card stock for the card base.  I then used one of the Card Mat Dies from Jaded Blossom to cut the happy birthday word card stock.  The scallop oval is also from Jaded Blossom, the Scallop Oval Dies set.

The bears are from My Scrap Chick, they are part of the Birthday Bears cut set.  I inked around the edges of the bears with tea dye Distress Ink and around the icing of the cupcakes with tumbled glass Distress Ink (blue) and Victorian velvet Distress Ink (pink).  I also added a little white gel pen doodling.

The icing trim and on the hand are both adhered with foam tape.  I also adhered the whole bear with foam tape for dimension.

I used Peachy Keen faces on both bears.  They are both from the Teddy Bear Assortment.  The sentiment is also from Jaded Blossom.  It is part of the Hey Cupcake stamp set.

I made this for the following challenges:
City Crafter Challenge Blog: use the word "you"
My Sheri Crafts: teddy bear
Crafty Creations: word/letters on background
Cute Card Thursday: words/numbers

Halloween Goblet

I love Halloween and I love to decorate for it even more.  I have a whole bunch of decorations, but I am always looking for new ideas.  This is my newest creation that I will put on display this year:

The mug is a cut file from Dreaming Tree.  It is called Irish Coffee Mug, but as you can see I went in a slightly different direction.

Once the mug was put together I created a hexagon with some triangles welded on to each side to act as flaps.  It was sized to fit the top of the mug.  I covered the entire thing in adhesive using my Xyron, I then adhered the flaps to the inside of the mug.  I covered the exposed adhesive of the hexagon in fluorescent green glitter, then covered the whole thing with dimensional magic.  This gives it a nice thick, shiny surface and also helps adhere the hexagon to the mug at the edges.  My aim was to make it look a bit like liquid.  The drippy edges were created with a metal die from Jaded Blossom.  It is part of the Halloween Dies set.  It is also covered in fluorescent green glitter, then covered it glossy accents.

The cut file comes with a shamrock to adhere to one of the panels.  I made my own thing to put on one of the panels.  I used a spider web from "Chic & Scary" and a skull from "Over the Hill", both are Cricut cartridges.  I inked up the edges of the skull and crossbones with antique linen Distress Ink and it is adhered with foam tape for dimension.  I then covered it in crackle accents.  The banner and its sentiment are from Jaded Blossom.  The banner is part of the Dimensional Banner Dies and the sentiment is from Halloween Signs.  The banner is also adhered with foam tape in the middle, and glue dots at the edge, I then curled the ends of the banner around.

I made a little 3D spider to hang from the handle of my goblet.  He is from the "Pumpkin Carving" Cricut cartridge.  I cut it six times and folded each piece in half, then adhered them together to make it round-ish.  He is hung from the handle by a piece of black thread.  I finished off the goblet with some bling.  I put large purple bling on the base, where the shamrocks would be if I had not hid them.  I also put some dark grey bling on the curls of the handle.

Spider Treat Bag and Card

I made a Halloween treat container and coordinating card.  This was made with dies and stamps from Jaded Blossom and some face stamps from Peachy Keen.

The treat box was made using the Scallop Caddy Die.  I cut it out of black diamond card stock from The Bewitched Stack by DCWV.  The layer is from a purple spider card stock from the same stack.  I put it together, then punched two holes at the so that I could string baker's twine through for closure.

The tag was made using a die from the Mini Tag Dies 2 set.  I stamped the spider web from the Halloween Paint Splatters stamp set in London fog ink by Tsukineko.  I then used the Halloween Treats stamp set for the sentiment.

The spider is from Spidey Senses.  I stamped it on dark grey card stock and used my Brother Scan n Cut 2 to cut it out.  I just had to fussy cut the parts between the legs.  I also fussy cut the head, which I then adhered with foam tape for dimension.  I also adhered the spider to box using foam tape on the center of the body while gluing the legs down.  I used a piece of baker's twine behind it for its string.  The face is made of two Peachy Keen stamps.  The eyes are from The Uglies Face Assortment, which I cut out from white card stock.  The mouth is from the Monster Mash Face Assortment.  I added a little black chalk on its cheeks.

The bag was finished off with some sequins.

The coordinating card was made from black card stock.  I used the Card Mat Dies to cut a purple layer.  The white layer was also cut with the Card Mat Dies, but I also used the Border Dies to create a zig zag top.  I stamped the same spider web from Halloween Paint Splatters in the same ink on the white border.  I then used the new Happy Hello and Happy Hello Add On to create my sentiment.  I wrapped the mat with baker's twine and tied it in a bow, using more to create the string from which my spider is hanging.

The spider is the same one from Spidey Senses that I used on my box.  I cut it the same way and adhered it the same way.  The face is from the same Peachy Keen stamp sets, I just used a different set eyes and mouth.  I finished off the card with some sequins.

Poison Etched Glass

How about a little something for Halloween?

I used Armor Etch to etch this tumbler.  The image is from the "Teresa Collins Chic & Scary" Cricut cartridge.

Corner Bookmark

I decided to make a bookmark today:

I used an SVG to cut the base of the bookmark.  You can download it here.

I used a cut file from Lettering Delights for the kitty with the book.  It is from a set called Teacher's Pet.

The stamps are from Jaded Blossom.  The one on the book is from Enchanted Candies and the one on the bottom of the bookmark is from Enchanted.
