Cat Lady

Another fun birthday card for you today!

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and is made of white card stock.  The teal mat is 5 3/8"x4 1/8" and the purple striped mat is 5 1/4"x4."  All the patterned card stock is from the Violet Leaf Stack by DCWV.  The shape in the background is from the "Cricut Font and Basic Shapes" cartridge.  I cut it at 5."

The girl with the cat is from the "Meow" cartridge.  She is cut at 3 1/2."  I used pale purple pearls for the cat's eyes.  I then covered it in glitter flocking powder.  I used a Peachy Keen Stamp for the girl's face.  It is from the Wide Eyed Kids Face Assortment.

The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.  It is from the Party Animal stamp set.

I cut a teal mat and a purple striped mat the same as on the front.  The next teal mat is 4 1/4"x3" and the white mat is 4 1/8"x2 7/8."  The sentiment is also from Jaded Blossom, the So Many Birthdays set.

How "Seal"-y

I made a cute little birthday card today.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I cut some dark blue plaid card stock at 5 1/4"x4," then some light blue plaid card stock at 5 1/8"x3 7/8."  The blue polka dot print is 5 1/8"x1 1/2."  The scalloped border is from the "Ribbons & Rosettes" Cricut cartridge.  I cut it at 5 1/4" long.

The seal is from SVG Cutting Files.  It is called Baby Seal and I cut it at 3 3/4" tall.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom, the Party Animal set.  I just did some careful masking to make it into four lines instead of two.

Christmas Gift Card Holders

In the same vein as the post about Christmas tags I made, here are the gift card holders I made.  Now I went with one master post for these since the photos actually show the gift cards and that would ruin the surprise.  But, it is also easier just to showcase them all at once.

The first one is a card that I made into a gift card holder as well.

The card base is from SVG Cutting Files, it is called Arched Card 2 Base.  The Santa is from KaDoodle Bug Designs, from the Old Fashion Santa set.  For the inside I used the Gift Card Die from Jaded Blossom to create the gift card holder.  The sentiments on the exterior are from My Craft Spot.  The one on the interior is from my stash, so I don't know who made it anymore.  The salutation, "with love" is from Jaded Blossom, the 100% Handmade set.  I just masked of the "made" part of the sentiment.

The next two gift card holders are made using the Folding Gift Card Die by Jaded Blossom.  They also use the Gift Card Die and the insert of the Goody Bag Die on the inside.  In fact, they are made solely with Jaded Blossom products.

Here is the first of them:

Both penguins are from the Penguin Dress Up stamp set.  I used their coordinating svgs to cut them out before stamping them.  The "you're cool" sentiment is also from this stamp set.  I stamped the framed out image on the panel using the Fun Money stamp set.  The "to" and "from" are also from this set.  The final sentiment "spend it on yourself" is from the Gift Cards Galore set.

Here is the other gift card holder:

For this one I used the Poinsettia set on the front.  I stamped and heat embossed the flower, then fussy cut it and popped up some petals.  I also added some Stickles to the leaves and white parts of the flower.  I also used Fun Money and Gift Cards Galore for the sentiments on the inside.

Christmas Gift Tags

I decided to just make one post of the rest of the tags I created for Christmas gifts.

This tag was made using Jaded Blossom products.

The tag is made from the Luggage Tag Dies set.  The lights, both small (which are heat embossed) and the larger ones are from Watts Up stamp set, as is the sentiments.  The banner on which the sentiment is stamped (and heat embossed) is from My Craft Spot.  I used the Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment from Peachy Keen Stamps for the face.

This tag was made using cut files from the Silhouette Store.

The tag is one of the four in a set called "tags" by Michelle Renee (#43062).  The cardinal is also by Michelle Renee and called "Christmas cardinal" (#51610).  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom, the Season's Tweetings set.  The "to" and "from" are from a stamp set by My Craft Spot.

I used an svg from KaDoodle Bug Designs and a tag shape from Cricut for this tag.

The tag is from the "ZooBalloo" cartridge and the horse is a file called Cutie KaToodles - Horse.  The holly is also from the Cricut, the "Winter Wonderland" cartridge.  The present is from the "Tis the Season" cartridge by Creative Memories.  All the stamps are from My Craft Spot.

Gift Bag

Here is a gift bag I made this year.  It's actually the only actual bag I made this year, the others are pre-made ones that I simply embellished.

The bag is from the Cricut cartridge "Tags, Bags, Boxes & More."  I just hid the window that is supposed to be in the front of the bag.  When assembled the bag is 6 1/2" tall.

I cut a white panel at 5 1/2"x3 3/4" and a snowy sky patterned panel at 5 3/8"x3 5/8."  I then used the insert shapes feature (circle) in Cricut Design Space to make my moon, it is 3 1/4."  I embossed it with the Spots and Dots Cuttlebug embossing folder.  I inked up the edges and lightly over the surface of my embossing with pumice stone Distress Ink by Tim Holtz.  The Santa and reindeer stamp is from Jaded Blossom, the Christmas Panels set.  I also used the coordinating svg to cut the outline.  I used foam tape to adhere it to my moon.  I used a stamp from My Craft Spot for the sentiment.  It is heat embossed with silver embossing powder.

h-APE-y Holidays

Today's project is another tag:

The tag is made from the Luggage Tag die by Jaded Blossom.  I cut the larger piece twice and put the patterned papers back-to-back to make it stiffer.

The gorilla is from SVG Cutting Files, it is a file called Chibi Gorilla.  He is cut at 3" tall.  I added a hat, complete with holly, and a present to make it for Christmas.  The hat is from the Cricut cartridge "Teddy Bear Parade."  I used a clear Wink of Stella pen on the white parts of the hat for glitter and shine.  The present is from the "Pooh and Friends" cartridge.  The holly is from the "Tis the Season" Cricut cartridge by Creative Memories.  I sized all the accessories to fit the gorilla.

I used the piece for the gorilla's hand and adhered the "fingers" to the front of the present, then folded the rest of the hand to the back.  I hope it makes it look like he is holding the present.  The snowflakes are from "Teresa Collins - December 25th."  They are cut at 1," 3/4," and 1/2," and covered with star dust Stickles for a little more glitter and shine.  The eyes and holly berries have a dot of white from a gel pen and then are covered in glossy accents.

For the back of the tag I cut a piece of white card stock using one of the Card Mat Dies by Jaded Blossom.  I created the sentiment with a combination of stamps.  The "APE" part is from an alphabet font I have had for many years.  The "h" and "y" parts are from one of the happys on the So Many Birthdays 2 set by Jaded Blossom, I drew in the dashes.  The "holidays" part is from a Fiskars stamp set that I got at JoAnn Fabrics a while back.  The "to" and "from" are from the Fun Money set, also by Jaded Blossom.

I made this for the following challenges:
Fantabulous Cricut: anything but a card
Scrappy Moms Stamps: use a tag

Winter Scene

I have a quick and simple card for you today before I have to get to my studying.  This one took me about 20 minutes to complete.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and I used light blue premade card base.  I used the Panel Dies from Jaded Blossom to cut the white strips and also the brown "window."  For the "window" I used the negative space, trimming around it to give it a frame.  I then used the actual panel cuts from the white card stock to put into the negative space of the brown.  The tress on the panels are from the Winter Panels stamp set, also by Jaded Blossom.  I stamped them in rich cocoa ink by Tsukineko.  The bright red bird is a stamp from Paper Smooches.  It is from the Autumn Groves set.  I stamped it in barn door Distress Ink and fussy cut around it, then adhered it to look like it is sitting on a branch.  The sentiment is also from the Winter Panels stamp set by Jaded Blossom.  I stamped it on a banner cut with a metal die from My Craft Spot.  I used tumbled glass Distress Ink and finished it off with some red gems.

I made this for the current challenge at CASology, the cue word is "tree."

Snail Mail

My husband reminded me today that his mother's birthday is tomorrow and he had forgotten to have me make a card for her.  So, I took a study break and made this one:

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4 and made from a pink premade card base.  I cut some white card stock at 5 3/8"x4 1/8.  I then cut some pink floral patterned card stock with a die from Jaded Blossom.  It is part of the Card Mat Dies set.

The stamp shaped background is from the "Phrases" Cricut cartridge.  I cut it at 3 3/4" wide.  The snail is from the "Birthday Bash" Cricut cartridge.  It was cut at 3" wide.  I hid the features for the eyes and cheeks.  Instead, I used some pink chalk for the cheeks and a Peachy Keen stamp for the eyes.  It is from the Kawaii Face Assortment.  I then added a little detail to the eyes and cheeks with a white gel pen.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom.  It is from the Sweet Birthday Wishes set and stamped on a piece of pink card stock cut with another part of the Card Mat Dies set.

Mistle-Toes

Today's project is a gift bag and tag!

The gift bag is just a white craft bag I had on hand.  I then cut some dark blue snowflake patterned card stock at 4 1/2"x7" and some light blue snowflake patterned card stock at 3 1/2"x6."  The large glittery snowflake is actually a brad from Spare Parts.

The tag is made from a die by Jaded Blossom.  It is called Treat Tag Die.  The socks are a cut file from KaDoodle Bug Designs.  It is part of the set called Christmas Feet.  I used another stamp from Jaded Blossom for the sentiment.  This one is from the Holiday Pampering set.  I stamped it on a piece of card stock that I trimmed into a banner.  I stamped it with embossing ink and heat embossed it with navy embossing powder.  I adhered the feet and banner with foam tape.  I then finished off the front of the tag with some clear gems and some navy twine, which I used to tie it to the bag.

I used two different stamps for the back of the tag.  The "happy holidays" is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.  It is from the Winter Wishes set.  The "to" and "from" are from Jaded Blossom, the Fun Money stamp set.

I made this for the following challenges:
Jaded Blossom: Christmas
Die Cuttin' Divas: favorite sketch from 2015 (I used May, turned upside down, for the tag)
