She is a cutie-patootie isn't she? I love this little bird on 3 Birds on Parade. In fact I love most of the birds on that cartridge, they are all so cute. I made this little one for this week's Jitterbuggin' challenge. This week the challenge is to follow the sketch, use your favorite bird and something pink. I also made this card for Cupcake Inspirations, their cupcakes this week are baby themed with vibrant colors; 365 Cards, which is to create a border on only the front of your card; Crafty Creations, their theme is "new beginnings" and Cooking with Cricut, "glittermania" is their challenge-to glitz up your card with glitter and bling.
The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I used some pink plaid cardstock for the card base, I then used an EK Success border punch on the front part of the card. The large white circle is cut at 3 3/4" and the glittery blue circle is cut at 3 1/2 and the small glittery white circle is cut at 1." I embossed the glittery white circle with a 2"x2" Cuttlebug embossing folder. This circle is pop-dotted for some dimension. The little birdie is cut at 3" from 3 Birds on Parade. I glittered her diaper and bow with Martha Stewart glitter. She is also pop-dotted, but with a thicker dot than the small circle. I added some pink bling to the glittered blue circle and finished it off with a stamp from Scrappy Mom's Stamps. Enjoy!!
What a great card. That bird is so cute - I think I may need that 3 birds cartridge. It's got the cutest cuts. Thanks for playing with us this week at Cooking with Cricut :)
