Key to My Heart

I had a group of people from my EMT class over today and we were studying for upcoming tests on Anatomy and Pathophysiology. It was pretty intense and when I got done I just needed to craft (that's my stress reliever)! So I came up with this sweet and simple Valentine's card. The part that took the longest on this card was waiting for the glossy accents to dry! I used white cardstock for the card base, it is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I cut the striped paper 1/8" smaller. The striped paper came from the Basics Stack by DCWV. I used Sweethearts to cut out the heart shaped lock. It is cut at 4." I then covered the red part of the lock with glossy accents and sprinkled it with some crystal glitter. I used a Scrappy Moms Stamp for the sentiment, which I cut out using the Labels Four Nestabilities. I then edged the label with burgundy Stickles. I tied the key and the heart shaped button with some white embroidery floss and added those to the card. I got the key at JoAnns when they had them on clearance and the button was just in my stash of buttons. I finished it off with three red gems in the top right corner. See? Nice and easy! :)

I made this card for the following challenges:
