Sail Away

I went really clean and simple for today's card.  I didn't even add a sentiment!

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I cut a white mat at 5 3/8"x4 1/8."  I wanted to make this even more simple, i.e. one layer, but I wanted to wrap the twine around it, which warranted another layer.  I wrapped the twine around the white mat three times.  I then took three pieces of twine and tied them in a bow around the center of the wrapped twine, trimming off the ends to a length I liked.

The image is a stamp by Stampendous.  I colored it in with colored pencils from Prismacolor.  I am not that fantastic at coloring, still learning and all, but I think it turned out pretty nice.

I made this for the challenge at The Friday Mashup, which is to make a one-layer card with a nautical theme.  I'm close to the one layer part, but definitely have the nautical theme.
