This card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and I made it with the fold at the top. The red and gold polka dotted patterned cardstock that I used for the card base is from the Gilded Orchard Stack by DCWV. I wrapped the card with some shimmery gold ribbon. I stamped my ornate angel on white cardstock and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. I matted it with some gilded cardstock, also from the Gilded Orchard Stack, then adhered it to the card. I stamped my sentiment on white cardstock and heat embossed it with gold powder. I then matted it with some gilded cardstock and adhered it to the card with pop-dots. I finished off the card with some gold pearls on the angel. I rounded the corners of all the elements as well, using a corner rounder from Fiskars.
Here is the gift box I made to wrap up the t-shirt I made for my cousin's daughter. I used Sweet Tooth Boxes to cut the box. It was cut at 11." I used Cricut Craft Room to hide the circle in the scalloped lid. I liked the scallop, but didn't want a hole in it. I used the digital cartridge, Banners, to create the banner. It is cut at 2 1/2" and I inked the edges with pink chalk ink. I used Cricut American Alphabet to cut her name at 3/4." I covered them with glam pink Stickles. I adhered the banner to the box with pop-dots in the middle and glue dots on the sides. I used Mother's Day Boquet to create the daisy. The largest layer of the flower is cut at 5" and the smallest is cut at 3." I gave it a cute little Peachy Keen face. The bee is from Create a Critter, cut at 3 1/2." I also gave it a Peachy Keen face and adhered it to the box with two layers of pop-dots. Her bows are covered in glam pink Stickles and her wings are covered in diamond Stickles.
Another page down in the wedding album! It is only a single page layout this time but that is because I intend for it to be the last page in the album. The background cardstock is from the Tahiti Beach Stack by DCWV. The teal cardstock is from the Cafe Mediterranean Stack by DCWV and the coral cardstocks are from the Coral Couture Stack by DCWV. The roses background cardstock are from the Formal Affair Stack by DCWV. The photo is 5"x7" and matted twice, each layer 1/8" larger than the previous layer. The roses cardstock is cut at 7 1/2"x10 1/2." the teal cardstock is cut at 8"x11." I used Storybook for the "Happily Ever After." It is cut at 3 1/2." I used Flower Shoppe for all the flowers. The large coral flower is cut at 3 1/2" at the largest. I used a teal brad in the middle. The rolled flowers were cut at 3" and 2 1/2." I added some glossy accents to the phrase and teal pearls to the frame to finish it off.I made this for the following challenges:
I have had my Yudu for over a year now, but have never used it. I have used a Yudu before, I used to teach and demo at my old store, but I never set up my own and used it. This is also the first time I have made an image with multiple layers. Everytime I demoed or taught the Yudu at work I made single layer images. This was an interesting process, but I think the t-shirt turned out cute! Here it is:
I made this for my cousin's daughter. I made all the invites and decorations for the party and thought I would create a t-shirt as her birthday gift. I kept the bee theme. I used Kate's ABCs for the queen bee. I cut it at 4," and all its layers. I used all those pieces to burn the screens and create the t-shirt. I used the silver Yudu glitter for the crown. Since there was no yellow layer on this bee I used a paint pen to color in the yellow parts. Once everything was dry and heat set I added a googly eye and some gems on the crown. I used the irock by Imaginisce to apply the gems.
I love how this thank you card turned out! It is so cute! And there isn't even any Criucut on it!
The card is 4 1/2"x6 1/4" and made with white cardstock. I cut the black layer at 4 1/4"x6" and polka dotted gray layer 1/8" smaller than the black. I cut a strip of black cardstock at 4 1/4"x1 1/2" and a strip of polka dotted red cardstock at 4"x1 1/4" and adhered them to the card. I paper pieced all the apples and worm. I adhered everything to the card. I used foam tape on the upper middle apple and lower middle core. I also adhered the worm's head and eyes with foam tape. I stamped my sentiment, which is from Fiskars, to finish it off.
Another page down in my friends' wedding album. Here's hoping I can get it done by Christmas and give to them as their gift! :) We'll see how that one goes. Anyway, here it is:
It is another two page layout. All of them will be until I get to the last page. :) The background paper is from DCWV, the Tahiti Beach Stack. I loved the flowers in the corners, so I didn't want to cover them up. I cut two strips of patterned paper, which is from the Cafe Mediterranean Stack, at 11"x6." The circles are cut from Cricut American Alphabet at 7" for the white and 7 1/2" for the shimmery teal. I adhered the strips over the circles. I created a photo collage in both strips. The two long photos were matted with some coral cardstock, cut 1/8" larger than the photo. The two larger photos are 3 1/2"x5" and matted with coral cardstock cut 1/8" larger than the photo. I used Letter Envy to cut the letter "S" which is their last name monogram. It is cut at 3 1/2." I used Ashlyn's Alphabet for the "J," "&," and "L" cuts. They are cut at 1 1/2" and I adhered them over the "S" with foam tape, then covered them in tropical tangerine Stickles. I was a little worried about this color, since it looks fairly pink in the bottle, but against the dark coral color it was the perfect touch of sparkle! I finished it off with some flowers I had in my stash.
I made this for the following challenges:
Stuck On U Sketches: sketch (I rotated it for the first page and used the sketch as is for the second page)
Exploring Cricut: anything goes with two Cricut cuts and a monogram
Here is a simple birthday card that would be great for a little girl. The card is 5"x5" and made from white cardstock. The brown layer is 4 7/8"x4 7/8." The teal layer is 4 1/2"x4 1/2" and the polka dotted pink layer is 4 3/8"x4 3/8." The teal squares are 2"x2" and embossed with the Seeing Spots embossing folder. I used ZooBalloo for the elephant. It is cut at 3 1/2" and I used pop-dots to adhere it to the card. I used some acrylic flowers by Martha Stewart on her head. I finished off the card with the sentiment, which is matted with some glittery teal cardstock. The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.
I have a clean and simple Christmas card for you all today! Another one made for this year! Yea!! :)
The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I used white cardstock for the card base. I then cut another rectangle at 5"x3 3/4," then cut it on the diagonals. I embossed the triangles with the Swiss Dots folder and adhered them to the card base with foam tape. I used the Christmas cartridge to cut the wreath. I flocked the bow with some dark red flocking powder to mimic the velvety bows you see everywhere at Christmastime. The wreath is cut at 2 3/4." That's all there is to it. Enjoy!!
I got this candle at JoAnn's today, but I thought it was a little plain. So, I used the color challenge at Color Throwdown to dress it up a bit. Here it is:
I glued two strips of the dark gray polka dotted together to make it around the entire candle. It is cut at 3" wide. I cut some red cardstock at 2 1/4" wide, again gluing two strips together. The white strips are cut at 2." I trimmed the strips to 13 1/2." long. I stamped the sentiment, which is from Fiskars, in midnight black in by Tsukineko. I wrapped it around the candle, then wrapped it with some orange/white twine. I gathered it in the middle with an orange gem. I cut all the leaves from Flower Shoppe, from four sizes: 2," 2 1/2," 3," & 3 1/2." I inked around the edges of the leaves with tea dye Distress Ink and adhered them together with foam tape. I tied multiple pieces of twine in a bow and added that at the top of the leaves, with an orange gem in the middle of the bow. I adhered the leaves to the candle with foam tape.
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is having a challenge to create a project with a water theme and I knew exactly what I wanted to do for this one. I have been meaning to make a book to log the lakes and rivers that my husband and I kayak on and to write notes about what we think about the location. I bought a Smash book a while ago, but haven't done anything with it until this push. It was exactly what I needed in order to create my "Paddle Log."
I covered the Smash book with a pearlized blue cardstock. I then cut seven waves from different shades of blue cardstock. I used Life is a Beach for the waves, they are cut at 2 1/2." I adhered them on the book, overlapping them slightly. The canoing duck is from Campin' Critters, cut at 3 1/2." I added some brown gems for his eyes and glossy accents on his bill and paddle. I added some glitter to the bottom edge of the boat and a little on the bottom of the paddle to look a little like frothy waves. My husband and I actually kayak, but there are no kayaking images and I think the canoing duck is really cute, so it works for me. I adhered him to the book with foam tape. The title is cut from Don Juan at 1 1/4" from the same pearlized blue cardstock that I used to cover the book. Now I just need to start putting my lake and river info in the book. ;)
Here is another cute little card for you today! This one is 5 1/2"x 4 1/4." I used white cardstock for the base. The dark blue cardstock is 1/8" smaller and the patterned paper is 5 1/4"x4." I cut some more dark blue cardstock at 4"x2 1/2." The white cardstock is 1/8" smaller. I used some Peachy Keen stamps to stamp the crayons on orange, green, and blue cardstock. I cut the crayons out of the orange and blue ones and adhered them to the white cardstock. The green one was cut with arms. I then cut the arms out of white and the green crayon again without arms. I also gave it a Peachy Keen face. I adhered the arms down, then used some thin foam tape to layer on the armless green crayon. I then adhered the whole piece down with pop-dots. I used some markers to color in parts of the crayons in coordinating colors. I cut a strip of the dark blue cardstock at 4"x 1 1/2" and the patterned paper 1/8" smaller. I stamped my sentiment, which is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, and trimmed the cardstock to fit. I then cut a strip of dark blue carsdstock 1/8" larger and adhered it to my card. I think it would make a cut little note card to put in a kid's lunch bag on the first day of school, or any day of school for that matter! ;) Enjoy!!
This sympathy card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I used black cardstock for the card base. I then trimmed some white cardstock 1/4" smaller for my next layer. I wrapped the white layer with some black and white twine and tied it off in a bow. I cut some black cardstock at 4 1/2"x2 1/2" and some white cardstock at 4 1/4"x2 1/4." I embossed the white layer with the Script Texture embossing folder. I used foam tape to adhere it to the card. I added the black beaded circle, which is a die from Spellbinders. I added white pearls around the whole edge of the beaded circle. I used Flower Shoppe to cut the white flower. The largest layer is cut at 2 1/2" and the smallest is cut at 1 3/4." Each layer is 1/4" smaller than the previous. I used some star dust Stickles to edge all the flower petals. I adhered them down to the card and added some bling from Martha Stewart to the middle of the flower. The sentiment is stamped in black in and the stamp is from My Pink Stamper.
I have had a great weekend. My husband and I went up to Two Harbors, MN for the Two Harbors Kayak Festival. I participated in a clinic and got out paddling on Lake Superior for the first time! I was out there for a couple of hours and swells were about 2 feet, which is pretty tame for Superior, but more than I am used to. I didn't dump though, so I count it a success. However, I did get a nice sunburn because it was cloudy when I started and blazing sun by the time I got done. I have a nice pair of raccoon eyes from my sunglasses! Now I am back to work and back to crafting. Here is what I made today:
This card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I used white cardstock for the base, then trimmed some brown cardstock 1/8" smaller and the striped patterned cardstock 1/8" smaller than that. I wrapped the striped cardstock with some honeydew twine from The Twinery. The hot air balloon is from Everyday Pop-Up Cards, cut at 3 1/4." I gave it a Peachy Keen face and adhered it to the card with foam tape. The clouds are from Create a Critter, cut at 1 1/4" and also with Peachy Keen faces. I used two stamps from Scrappy Moms for the sentiments, which are matted with cardstock, each layer 1/8" larger than the previous layer. I finished off the card with some star dust Stickles around the edges of the clouds. I think it would make a cute encouragement card or one for a graduation. Enjoy!
Here is the banner I made for my cousin's daughter's bee-day party! I think it turned out quite cute. I think they will love it!
I used Garden Soup for the hexagons and the word "bee." The hexagons are cut at 5" for the black and 4 1/2" for the yellow. The word "bee" is cut at 2 1/2" or 3" and I can't remember which anymore. I cut both sizes and went with the one that looked better on the hexagon. I also covered it in black diamond Stickles. I used Pooh and Friends for the little bee above the word "bee." I used diamond Stickles on the wings and glossy accents on the body. I used Create a Critter for the bow, which is covered in cotton candy glitter by Martha Stewart. I used some pop-dots to adhere the bee on the hexagon. The letters are all from Type Candy and cut at 4." I covered them with some crystal glitter by Martha Stewart. The two bees on the end and the beehive in the middle are from Create a Critter. I inked around the edges of the beehive with some Distress Ink and used cotton candy glitter by Martha Stewart on the heart on the beehive and the bows of the bees. I used some diamond Stickles on the wings of the bees and gave them each a Peachy Keen face. I accented their cheeks with some pink chalk. The bows attaching each hexagon are from Once Upon a Princess. The outer part of each bow is covered in cotton candy glitter by Martha Stewart. I then lined everything up and punched holes in all the pieces and attached them all together with brads. I used brads so that the banner could move and be hung in a curve if necessary. I covered the brads with fruit punch Stickles to help them blend. I added eyelets to the outside two bows to be used for hanging. I hope you enjoy my little banner, I know I had fun making it!
