All Mixed Up - Creation #1

After 10 projects with "Animal Antics" it is time to showcase another cartridge and see what I can create with it.  This time I chose a font cartridge, it is also an older one: "All Mixed Up."  I do have to say that I will probably not create 10 things with this cartridge, it just seems like a lot for a font cartridge, but I will try to do at least five.  I hope doing at least that many will give a good idea of what this cartridge has to offer.

My cousin is graduating high school this year and I won't be able to attend her grad party, but I will send a card...of course.

I used "All Mixed Up" to create the entire card using Cricut Craft Room.  I used the square feature and selected one of the squares.  I then hid all the features except the outside so it would be a solid square.  I then turned off the aspect ratio and sized it to 9"x4" and made two of them.  I welded the two, now rectangles, together to create my card base.  I then sized another square at 8 3/4"x3 3/4" and used this as my mat.  The patterned paper I used came from the Midnight Chic Stack by DCWV.

I created my sentiment using the basic feature for the font.  The "con" and "ulations" are sized at 3/4" and the "grad" is sized at 1."  I used a shimmery purple Cri-Kit pen to draw the letters instead of cutting them and colored them in with the same pen.  I cut the paper they were on into a strip that is 1 1/4"x9" and matted it with a black strip cut at 1 1/2"x9."  I finished off the inside of the card with some light purple gems in the corners of the strip.
