Fishing Plaque

This creation took a little time in making, three days actually.  The wood plaque is something I had on hand, I got it at either Michael's or JoAnns, I don't know which anymore.  I then stained it, which took two days, what with the actual application of the stain and the drying, and the second application and the second drying.  I love the golden color that was the result though.

The images are from "Outdoor Man."  The mountain lake background image is on page 35 of the handbook.  I cut it at 6."  I inked the edges of everything with different colors of Distress Ink.  Faded denim for the mountains, tumbled glass for the lake, mowed lawn for the trees, and walnut stain for the tree trunks.

The fisherman image is on page 34 of the handbook and it was cut at 3."  I inked the boat with tea dye Distress Ink and the water with tumbled glass Distress Ink.  I also covered the water with glossy accents.  I made an actual fishing line from some brown and white baker's twine.

Bullseye

Today I made some vinyl for my husband's computer.

I used "Outdoor Man" for both the image and the sentiment.  The target image is on page 21, and cut at 3."  The sentiment is on page 54 (phrase feature) and is cut at 2."  The bullet holes are from the phrase found on page 52, I hid everything except some of the holes, then positioned them on the target.  It was cut at 2" to get those holes the size I wanted.

Outhouse

How is this for a fun shaped card?

I used the "Outdoor Man" cartridge and Cricut Craft Room to create this shaped card.  The image can be found on page 37 of the handbook.  I welded two of the shadows together to create the card base.  I then cut another shadow for the front of the card and adhered all my layers to it.

The image was cut at 7."  I embossed the light brown part of the door with the Distress Stripes embossing folder.  I then inked it with tea dye Distress Ink.  The grass is also inked, but with crushed olive Distress Ink.  I adhered the door to look like it was partially open.  The hinged side is adhered to the card, the middle has one layer of foam tape, and the handle side has two layers of foam tape.  I covered the dark brown parts of the door (hinges, handle, crescent moon) with glossy accents.

The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, the Happy Campers set.  I stamped it on light brown card stock, then matted it with a medium brown card stock.  The sentiment is stamped in walnut stain Distress Ink.  I then added two bronze brads to the sign and used some baker's twine to give it a way to hang.  I hung it over another larger bronze brad in the door.  The sign is actually adhered with foam tape.

I am entering this in the current challenge at BBTB2, which is to make something to do with camping.
