Mermaid

The card base is a step card made using a cut file from SVG Cutting Files.  It is called Center Step Edged Curved Card Base.  I cut the white circle with one of the Stitched Circle Dies from Jaded Blossom.  I then cut the grey layer with a Spellbinders die called Picot Edge Circles.  The waves are from the "ZooBalloo" Cricut cartridge.  I used some diamond Stickles on the white caps of the waves.  I used some blue, grey, and white sequins to finish off the card.

The mermaid and sentiment on the circle are from the Mermaid Kisses stamp set by Jaded Blossom.  I colored the image with Distress Ink markers by Tim Holtz.  I then added some Wink of Stella to the blue of her hair and her tail.  I also used some glossy accents on her eyes.

The seashell is from the "Sea Shells" digital cartridge.  The sea weed is from the "Splish Splash" cartridge.

The sentiment on the side part of the step card is also from Jaded Blossom.  The "happy birthday" part is from the So Many Birthdays 2 stamp set and the "from under the sea" is from the Mermaid Kisses stamp set.

Today's card features a cute little birthday frog!

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and is folded at the top.  The card is made from white card stock with a navy blue card stock mat, cut at 5 3/8"x4 1/8."  The purple patterned mat is 5 1/8"x3 7/8."  The navy blue card stock strip is 2"x3 7/8."  I embossed the strip with the D'vine Swirls embossing folder and my Cuttlebug.  I then covered the swirls with midnight blue Stickles.

The white mat is cut with a Spellbinders die.  It is from the Labels 8 Nestabilities.  I stamped my sentiment, which is from My Pink Stamper, on the top right of the mat.  The image, from the Silhouette Store, is called "Birthday Frog" by PPbN Designs (#48459).  The frog is about 3 3/4" tall, without the lily pad.  I covered the lily pad and the frog's eyes with diamond glaze.

I finished the inside pretty much like the outside, sans blue embossed strip.  The navy blue mat is 5 3/8"x4 1/8" and the purple patterned mat is 5 1/8"x3 7/8."  The white mat is again cut with the Labels 8 Nestabilities die from Spellbinders.  I used a stamp from Scrappy Moms Stamps for the "hope your birthday is" part of the sentiment.  It is from the Amusing Animals set.  The "unfrog-getable" part of the sentiment is from My Pink Stamper.

S'mores

Today's project is a matching gift box and card set.  This is a great way to package a gift card for that special guy in your life.  Especially if that guy loves s'mores, but let's be honest, who doesn't love s'mores?!

The s'mores gift box is part of a the Camp Firefly cut file set from SVG Cuts.  I used my Silhouette to cut it out.  I hid all the holes that are supposed to cut from the graham crackers, because I wanted to emboss the crackers instead.  I used the Swiss Dots folder, the debossed side, for my crackers.  I inked all the edges of the cracker pieces with tea dye Distress Ink and the chocolate pieces with vintage photo Distress Ink.  I also inked the marshmallow with tea dye Distress Ink to make it look nice and toasted.

The card is 6 1/4"x4 1/2."  I used brown card stock for the card base, then cut a kraft mat at 6"x4 1/4."  I cut some patterned pieces of card stock to create a sun burst shape for the top part of the card.  I then wrapped the card with brown ribbon.  I used my Cuttlebug to cut two circles from a Spellbinders Nestabilities die from brown and kraft card stock.  The raccoon is a Peachy Keen stamp.  I used their SVG file to cut it from white card stock, then stamped and colored it, adding glossy accents to its eyes and star dust Stickles to the fire.  I adhered it over the circle with foam tape.  The sentiment and other marshmallow are also from Peachy Keen.  I colored the edge of the marshmallow with some tea dye Distress Ink to make it look toasty.  The raccoon and marshmallow are from the Burnt Out Camping Raccoon set, the sentiment is from the May 2014 Stamp of the Month kit.

I cut another piece of kraft card stock at 6"x4 1/4" for the inside.  I then cut some white card stock at 5"x3 1/4" as a mat.  I cut a strip of patterned card stock at 1"x4."  The sentiment and the s'more are both from the May 2014 Stamp of the Month kit.  I used the SVG file to cut the s'more out as well.  I then paper pieced it and added a face.  I used some tea dye Distress Ink on it as well, also adding some glossy accents to its eyes.

Tea-riffic!

This card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made from white card stock, with the fold at the top.  I cut a light blue mat at 5 3/8"x4 1/8" and a floral mat at 5 1/4"x4."  The blue strip is 3/4"x4."  I added two pink gems at either side and stamped my sentiment.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, the "Freshly Brewed" set.

The blue scalloped circle and the white circle are both cut from Spellbinders dies.  The blue scalloped circle is from the Lacy Circles Nestabilities set and the white circle is from the Classic Circles Large Nestabilities set.  I adhered them to the card with foam tape.

The teapot and teacup images are from the "January 2014 Stamp of the Month" kit from Peachy Keen.  I paper pieced the teapot and the cup.  I colored in the tea, then covered it in glossy accents, I also covered the teapot's eyes in glossy accents.  The teacup is adhered to the card with foam tape.

For the inside of the card I cut another blue mat at 5 3/8"x4 1/8" and another floral mat at 5 1/4"x4."  I then cut a blue mat at 4 1/4"x3" and a white mat at 4 1/8"x2 7/8."  The sentiment is from the "January 2014 Stamp of the Month" kit, as is the stack of teacups image.  I paper pieced the teacups.

Let's Shell-ebrate

Today's card is 5"x5."  I used white card stock for the base.  The hexagonal patterned paper is 4 7/8"x4 7/8."  The dark green piece is about 2 1/2"x4 7/8."  To be honest I just found a piece of dark green card stock in my stash and cut it to the proper width, I never changed its length.  I punched the bottom edge of it with a scalloped scallop punch from EK Success.  The white strip is 1 1/4"x4 7/8."  I embossed it with the Cuttlebug folder Swiss Dots.

The two scalloped ovals are from Spellbinders.  They are from the large scalloped ovals Nestabilities set.  They are adhered together, then placed on the card with foam tape.  The turtle is from Peachy Keen, the June 2012 Stamp of the Month kit.  I paper pieced most of him.  The plates on his shell are colored with a dark green marker, then covered in glossy accents.  His eyes are also covered in glossy accents.  I also adhered him to the ovals with foam tape.  The sentiment is Paper Smooches.

25 Days of Christmas - Rustic Star

Today's Christmas card is on the rustic side.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I used shimmery green card stock for the card base.  I cut a foiled red mat at 5 1/4"x4," and a red and green plaid card stock at  5 1/8"x3 7/8."  I put four red brads in each corner, then adhered the mats to the card base with foam tape.

The stars are from "George and Basic Shapes."  The wood patterned star is 3 1/4."  The red star is also 3 1/4" but I used the shadow feature.  The green star is 3 1/2" and also uses the shadow feature.  I used the Spellbinders "Ribbon Banners" die to cut the banner.  I then used a Fiskars stamp for the sentiment.  The star in the middle of the sentiment is from the "Merry Christmas" stamp set by My Craft Spot.  I adhered the banner to the card, putting some foam tape in the middle for some dimension.

25 Days of Christmas - Joy

Clean and simple - that is the name of the game today, apparently.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I used burgundy card stock for the card base.  The snowflake printed card stock is 5 1/4"x4."  I cut another strip of burgundy card stock at 1"x5 1/2."  The label was cut with a Spellbinders die, Labels One.  I stamped my sentiment, from Fiskars, in mowed lawn Distress Ink.  I adhered it to the card with foam tape and drew around the edge of the label with diamond Stickles.  I finished off the card with some shimmery green enamel dots from Cloud 9.

25 Days of Christmas - Santa Puppy

And yet another Christmas card for you today.  This one is the one we are giving our newspaper carrier.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I used white card stock for the card base, then cut a black mat at 5 3/8"x4 1/8" and a red argyle mat at 5 1/4"x4."

The Santa puppy is from the "Paper Pups" cartridge.  I cut it at 2 3/4."  This particular image can be found on page 101 of the handbook.

The sentiment on front is from the stamp set "Jingle All the Way" by My Craft Spot.  It is stamped on a banner cut from the Ribbon Banner Spellbinders die.

Here is the inside of the card.  I cut a black mat at 5 1/4"x4" and another red argyle mat at 5 1/8"x3 7/8."  I cut another black mat at 4 1/4"x2 3/4" and a white mat at 4 1/8"x2 5/8."  The sentiments on the inside are also from the "Jingle All the Way" stamp set.
