25 Days of Christmas - Simple Christmas Frame

Merry Christmas everyone!!

Just a simple one for you today:

The frame is meant for an 8"x10" photograph.  I cut a piece of patterned card stock at 8"x10."  It is from the Ornamental Christmas Stack by The Paper Studio.  I then used the "merry christmas word phrase" by Samantha Walker (#13477) from the Silhouette Store for my image.  I cut it from red vinyl and adhered it to the outside of the glass.

25 Days of Christmas - Santa's Sleigh

Here is my project for this Christmas eve:

I used a piece of wooden canvas that was 8"x8" and covered it with some dark blue snowflake card stock from the Arctic Wishes Stack by DCWV.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the image.  It is called "santa sleigh silhouetted by the moon."  It is by PPbN Designs (#52304).  When it is all assembled it is about 6" tall and 7" long.  The silhouette is adhered with some foam tape for dimension and the white stars in the moon are covered with star dust Stickles.

25 Days of Christmas - Rustic Star

Today's Christmas card is on the rustic side.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I used shimmery green card stock for the card base.  I cut a foiled red mat at 5 1/4"x4," and a red and green plaid card stock at  5 1/8"x3 7/8."  I put four red brads in each corner, then adhered the mats to the card base with foam tape.

The stars are from "George and Basic Shapes."  The wood patterned star is 3 1/4."  The red star is also 3 1/4" but I used the shadow feature.  The green star is 3 1/2" and also uses the shadow feature.  I used the Spellbinders "Ribbon Banners" die to cut the banner.  I then used a Fiskars stamp for the sentiment.  The star in the middle of the sentiment is from the "Merry Christmas" stamp set by My Craft Spot.  I adhered the banner to the card, putting some foam tape in the middle for some dimension.

I made this for the following challenges:
365 Cards: "Day 357" - stars
Christmas Card Challenges: make it masculine

25 Days of Christmas - Joy

Clean and simple - that is the name of the game today, apparently.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I used burgundy card stock for the card base.  The snowflake printed card stock is 5 1/4"x4."  I cut another strip of burgundy card stock at 1"x5 1/2."  The label was cut with a Spellbinders die, Labels One.  I stamped my sentiment, from Fiskars, in mowed lawn Distress Ink.  I adhered it to the card with foam tape and drew around the edge of the label with diamond Stickles.  I finished off the card with some shimmery green enamel dots from Cloud 9.

I made this for the following challenges:
365 Cards: make the edges, rather than the middle of the card, bold and bright
The Friday Mashup: glimmer/shimmer/bling

25 Days of Christmas - Gift Card Holder

Today's project is a gift card holder.

I used "Cindy Loo" for the envelope, it is on page 77 of the handbook.  I cut it at 6 3/4."  This size perfectly holds a normal sized gift card.  I added some blue and green pearls to the top scallop.  I then tied some maraschino baker's twine, by The Twinery, through a blue button and adhered it on the tab that keeps the envelope closed.  The sentiment is a Fiskars stamp.

I used "Winter Frolic" for the reindeer.  It is on page 36 of the handbook.  I cut it at 2 3/4."  I covered the lights with firefly and aqua Stickles.  The nose is covered in glossy accents and I used a brown gem for the eye.

For the inside of the envelope I cut a dark green mat at 2"x3 3/4," and a white mat at 1 7/8"x3 5/8."  I then used stamps from Scrappy Moms Stamps' "Winter Wishes" set for the sentiment and "Everyday Greetings" set for my to and from.

25 Days of Christmas - Elf Gift Bag

I have yet another gift bag for you today.  However, this one is slightly different because I did not use either my Cricut or the Silhouette to create it.

I started with a plain white gift bag.  I cut some dark green card stock at 5 1/2"x4," some red card stock at 5 1/4"x3 3/4," and some white card stock at 5"x3 1/2."  I stamped the elf on the white card stock.  It is from the November 2012 Stamp of the Month Kit by Peachy Keen.  I colored it in using markers, nothing special.  The banner and sentiment are both from the December 2012 Stamp of the Month Kit by Peachy Keen.

The tag is also from Peachy Keen, the November 2012 Stamp of the Month Kit.  I trimmed some light green card stock around it to give it a shadow.  The to and from are both from the "Merry Christmas" stamp set by My Craft Spot.  I tied it to the bag with some peapod baker's twine by The Twinery.

I made this for the current photo inspiration challenge at Peachy Keen.  I took the traditional red and green colors from the color palette to inspire my creation.

Countdown to Baby - Onesies

My friend has been on Pinterest and found some onesies she likes for the new baby.  She showed me a bunch and figures I can make them...she is right, of course.  Here are the first two I have made, both using iron-on vinyl.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut the words.  They are made using fonts from my computer.  If you do something like this make sure to flip the words so that when you iron them on they are facing the correct way.

25 Days of Christmas - Penguin Tag

I have another gift tag today, this one a cute little penguin.

The penguin was cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I found it in the Silhouette Store, called "holiday penguin," it is by Sanpdragon Snippets (#15060).  When it is all assembled it is about 5" tall.  I also covered the hat, both red and white parts, in flocking powder; and I covered his eyes in glossy accents.

I used the "Everyday Greetings" stamp set from Scrappy Moms Stamps for the "to" and "from" on the tag.  I punched a hole through the hat and used some licorice baker's twine for my string to tie it to the present.

25 Days of Christmas - Merry Christmas Tree

Today's card focuses on the sentiment.

The card is 7"x5."  I used white card stock for the card base, then cut a dark green mat at 6 7/8"x4 7/8," and a green snowflake mat at 6 3/4"x4 3/4."  The tree is from the Silhouette Store.  It is called "merry christmas happy new year tree" and it is by Kolette Hall (#53035).  It is about 6" tall and 4 1/2" wide.  I then covered the word merry in glossy accents.

I made this for the current challenge at Christmas Card Challenges, which is to make words the focal point.

25 Days of Christmas - Gift Bag and Tag

Today's Christmas project is a coordinating gift bag and tag set.

The gift bag is a plain white bag I got at JoAnn Fabric and Crafts a few years ago.  I cut a piece of glittery green card stock at 7"x6," then some red card stock at 6 1/2"x5 1/2," and finally some white card stock at 6 1/4"x5 1/4."  I embossed the white card stock with one of the Wedding Suite embossing folders from ProvoCraft.

The ornament is from the "Winter Wonderland" cartridge and can be found on page 34.  I cut it at 3 1/2."  I covered the white part of the ornament with carrara marble glitter, by Martha Stewart.  I adhered it to the bag using foam tape for a little dimension.

The tag is from "Winter Woodland."  It is on page 74, the tag feature, and is cut at 2 1/2."  The holly image on the tag is from "Winter Wonderland."  It is on pages 39-40 of the handbook and was cut at 2."  The white ribbon is covered in more of the carrara marble glitter.  The sentiment on the front of the tag is from My Craft Spot, the "Mistletoe" set.  The sentiment on the back of the tag is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, the "Winter Wishes" set and the to and from are also Scrappy Moms Stamps, the "Everyday Greetings" set.  I tied the tag on with some baker's twine, in maraschino and peapod, by The Twinery.

I made this for the following challenges:
BBTB2: gift tag
Fantabulous Cricut: anything but a card, holiday theme
Scrappy Moms Stamps: Christmas project
My Craft Spot: wrap it up
Exploring Cricut: Christmas project
Die Cuttin' Divas: holiday related project

25 Days of Christmas - Pink Winter Wonderland

Today's card is glittery and pretty and pink!

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4."  I used white card stock for the card base, then cut a brown mat 5 3/8"x4 1/8."  The pink snowflake card stock is from DCWV and is cut at 5 1/4"x4."  I cut a brown strip of card stock at 7/8"x4" and then some white card stock at 3/4"x4."  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot, the "Winter Wonderland" set.  The snowflake stamps are from Peachy Keen, the November 2013 Stamp of the Month Kit.

Both snowflakes are from the Silhouette Store.  The larger snowflake is called "snowflake" and is by Sweet Elsie (#50998).  The smaller snowflake is part of a set of three snowflakes called "snowflake set" and is by Sophie Gallo (#52668).  I covered the pink snowflake in bubble gum glitter by Martha Stewart.  The smaller snowflake is outlined in star dust Stickles and I gave it a Peachy Keen face, from the "Sweet and Silly Assortment."  I adhered it with foam tape.

I made this for the following challenges:
Peachy Keen: make a card and use glitter
The Friday Mashup: winter themed project

25 Days of Christmas - Chimney Gift Box

This one was a fun one and I think it turned out amazingly!

This particular project is a gift box.

I used cut files from the Silhouette Store for both the chimney box and the 3-D Santa.  The box is called "3d chimney box" and is by Snapdragon Snippets (#51814).  The Santa is called "3d Santa" and is also by Snapdragon Snippets (#51040).  The box is about 3 1/2" square in length and width.  It can hold a gift card, standing upright.  The Santa was cut without changing any settings when I opened it up on my virtual mat.  It fits in the chimney perfectly.  The tag is a pre-made one I had in my stash.  I stamped it with "to" and "from" stamps by My Craft Spot, the "Merry Christmas" set.  I tied some baker's twine in a bow and attached it to the tag, then attached it all to the box.

This is how the lid of the chimney comes off.

No 25 Days of Christmas Today

I'm sorry to not be posting a project today, but I just couldn't.  My husband and I went up to Duluth yesterday for a funeral for a friend of ours.  He died unexpectedly on Monday.  His visitation was on Friday night and his funeral was this morning.  Once we got back today, I just didn't feel in the mood to craft anything.  I hope I will be able to resume tomorrow, but I just didn't feel up to it for today.

25 Days of Christmas - Penguin Gift Box

Today's project is a cute little gift box.  It is perfect for a gift card or even just a small present.

The box was cut using the "Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More" Cricut cartridge.  It can be found on page   of the handbook, and I cut it at 4."  When it is all folded, it comes to about 3 1/4"x3."

I found the penguin in the Silhouette Store.  It is called "arctic penguin" and is by Sarah Bailey (#23641).  When it is all assembled it as about 3" tall.  I cut the tag from the Silhouette as well.  This cut is part of a cut file called "tags" and is by Michelle Renee (#43062). The "to" and "from" on the tag are stamps from My Craft Spot, the "Merry Christmas" set.  I adhered the penguin with foam tape.

25 Days of Christmas - Christmas Shadow Box

I have done something similar to this before, but I really like how it turned out the, in the 12"x12" size, and wanted to try it again.

This time I used an 8"x10" shadow box to create the decor.  I used a piece of red and green polka dot card stock to cover the back and filled the shadow box with red and green mini ornaments.  I used a digital image from Cricut called "Teresa Collins - Christmas Collage" for my subway art.  I sized it at 9"x7," turning off the aspect ratio to make it work.  I cut it from white vinyl and put it on the glass of the shadow box.  That's all there is to it.  This sort of project is really simple, it just takes a while to cut all those words out.

25 Days of Christmas - CAS Snowflake

Today's card is super simple to make!  This would definitely be one that would be easy to mass produce for Christmas cards.  I may have to remember this for next year, or something similar.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made from white card stock.  The glittery dark blue mat is from Core'dinations and is cut at 5 3/8"x4 1/8."  The snowflake patterned card stock is from DCWV and is cut at 5 1/4"x4."

The snowflake was cut using the Silhouette Cameo.  It is called "snowflake set" and is by Sophie Gallo (#52668).  I used only one of the snowflakes, it is the red one if you are looking at the image in the Silhouette Store.  I cut it at about 2 1/2."  I cut it out of the snowflake patterned card stock so I used the negative space, with the glittery blue card stock showing through.  The sentiment is from My Craft Spot, the "Winter Wonderland" set.

I made this for the current challenge at CASology, the cue word is "snowflake."
