I was browsing Pinterest one day and came across a CAS card that I thought would be really easy to reproduce. Here is the card on Pinterest:
Here is my version:
My card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4," and made from a turquoise card stock. I cut a white mat at 5 1/4"x4." The balloon is from the "Create a Critter" cartridge. It is on page 30 of the handbook, I used the layer 1 (shift) function and cut it at 5." I tied a piece of turquoise baker's twine around the base of the balloon; I then placed it where I wanted it on my card and trimmed off the rest. I glued down the tail end of the twine and finished off the front of the card with a sentiment from Paper Smooches, the Birthday Sampler set.
Here is the inside of my card:
I cut a piece of pink card stock at 5"x3 3/4" and some white card stock at 4 3/4"x3 1/2." Both the sentiment and the balloon are from the Birthday Sampler set by Paper Smooches as well. I drew in the string with a turquoise marker. I used two colors of ink to get the color I wanted for the sentiment: bahama blue and turquoise gem. The sentiment on the front and the balloon are stamped in rosebud ink. All the ink is from Tsukineko.
I made this for the following challenges:
Color Throwdown: color challenge
Fantabulous Cricut: anything goes
The Friday Mashup: card with minimal layers, or CAS
CASology: cue word - "float"
Paper Smooches Sparks: anything goes
