Chemistry

I eked out a little time today and made a quick and simple card.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of black card stock.  I then made a mat, cut at 5 1/4"x4," out of white card stock.  I used Jaded Blossom dies for the strip in the background.  It is actually made of two different dies, the longer strip from the Panel Dies set and the bottom part is from the Mini Tag Dies 2 set.

The image is from Paper Smooches, the Great Chemistry set.  I stamped the flasks, one of them twice, then added the smoke and stoppers.  I colored them with Distress markers by Tim Holtz.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom as well, the Science Matters set.

Fall Box Card

I felt that I deserved some crafting time today.  I had my first Organic Chemistry test last Friday and only got one wrong!  I also had my first Genetics test on Wednesday, but don't yet know the score of that one.  So, for getting through all that I felt some crafting time was well earned.

So, I decided to try something new.  This is my first ever box card.

I used a couple of files from SVG Cutting Files for this card.  The box card template is called Card Box Plain Edge and the scarecrow is Chibi Scarecrow on Post.  I hid the eyes and used  a Peachy Keen stamp for his face.  It is from the Monster Mash Face Assortment.

I sign post is from the "Old West" cartridge, as are the hay bales.  I used a variety of Jaded Blossom merchandise on this as well.  The pumpkin stacks are from the Autumn Panels set.  All the sentiments are from the Harvest Signs set.  The tags are from the Mini Tags Dies 2 set.  I then added a bow made of twine.

I made this for the following challenges:

Die Cuttin' Divas: pumpkins or scarecrows
SVG Cutting Files: anything fall

Wizard

I got off of work a little early today and managed to get some homework done, so I thought I would also try to get a little crafting in as well.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and made of white card stock.  I cut a purple mat at 5 3/8"x4 1/8."  I created the black mat using a rectangle and stars in Cricut Design Space.  I cut out the mat and stars together and adhered it to the card base.  I then cut out just the stars from white card stock.  I covered them in glitter and adhered them inside the negative spaces I cut earlier.

The wizard is from the "Fantasy" digital set.  I cut it at 4."  I then used a Peachy Keen Stamp for his face.  It is from the Erkle and Merkle Face Assortment.  I added a little Wink of Stella to the stars on his hat and wand.  I then adhered him to the card with some foam tape.

I used dies from Jaded Blossom for the label and banners.  The label is from Mini Tag Dies 2 set and the banners are from the Candy Charms & Banners set.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps, the Fan-tastic! set.  I finished off the card with some gems on the label and banners.

My Sheri Crafts Guest Designer

Today I have the good fortune to be the guest designer for My Sheri Crafts.

The challenge this time is "Tic-Tac-Toe."  That means making a project with three items in a row from the grid.  My three are the color brown, twine, and a stencil.

The card is 8"x4," and made with a brown wheat patterned card stock.  I then cut a piece of dark brown card stock at 6 1/8"x3 1/4, and a piece of ivory card stock at 6"x3 1/8."  I then used a burlap stencil by Tim Holtz and some jumbo java ink by Tsukineko to create my background on the ivory piece.

The next dark brown layer is 5 1/8"x2 1/4," and the ivory layer is 5"x2 1/8."  I then stamped the wheat image in jumbo java ink.  I wrapped the bottom of the piece with gold and ivory twine.  The piece is adhered to the card with foam tape.  I then used a die from Jaded Blossom, from the Mini Tag Dies 2 set.  The sentiment is also from Jaded Blossom, from the So Many Birthdays set.

Pumpkin Treat Box

I actually got some time to craft today!  I got a rare Saturday off from work, and I am all caught up with homework and reading, so I took advantage!

I used a cut file from My Scrap Chick for the treat box.  It is from a file called Halloween Boxes, but it no longer available.  All assembled it stands about 3 3/4" tall.  I inked around the edges of all the pieces for some dimension, then added some faux stitching around the pumpkin pieces.

The face is from Peachy Keen Stamps, the In Stitches Face Assortment.  I covered the nose in orange peel Stickles, and colored in the mouth with an orange marker.  Then I finished off the face with a white gel pen.

The banner and sentiment are both from Jaded Blossom.  The banner is from the Mini Tag Dies 2 set and the sentiment is from the Harvest Signs set.  I used a punch for the leaves, then finished it off with a little yellow and red bling.

I made this for the following challenges:
Friday Mashup: 3d project
Jaded Blossom: fall colors
My Sheri Crafts: thinking of fall
Die Cuttin' Divas: 3d project
