Here are a couple of cards I made today. They are both for a couple of challenges each. The first one I made was this flower fairy card. I got this digi image from Stitchy Bear Stamps, I won five images for a card challenge a while back and really wanted to use this one. I colored it with my Prismacolor pencils and paired it with some patterned paper. The rose in the corner is from Picturesque, I just used a marker around the edges and the petals. I added some ribbon and pop dotted my fairy. I also blinged up her wings with some diamond Stickles. This card is for today's 365 Cards, which is: "imagine this - sugar" and this week's Color Throwdown, their colors were: pretty in pink, rose red, so saffron, and pear pizzazz.
The other card I made is a good luck card featuring the dolphin from Life is a Beach. I used the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketchs for the layout of this card. I also made it for Fantabulous Cricut, where the theme was: "It's Hot-tropical theme." I used some great shaded yellow and orange paper to feel like a tropical sunset. I used some K&Company paper for the water, I used the waves from Life is a Beach welded to George and Basic Shapes. I adhered it on the card and then trimmed all the corners off. I had this great swirl of bling that I thought would look great in the ocean, as a wave or eddy, just a feel of movement. I cut the dolphin at 4" and had it jumping out of the water. I used some Stickles around the edge of the card and the top of the waves for some fun sparkle. I then found this stamp in my stash to finish it all off. Enjoy!
