Perfect Sentiments: "Masculine Birthdays"

It is time for another challenge at The Perfect Sentiment! This week's challenge is "Masculine Birthdays." The challenge: create a card with a birthday sentiment. The twist: make the card masculine. Here is my card:
This challenge is perfect, because my husband's birthday is just over a week away, so I used this challenge to create a card for him! I think he will like it. :) The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I used a dark silver cardstock for the card base. I then trimmed some teal polka dotted cardstock 1/8" smaller. I used Cricut Craft Room to create my next layer. I used a rectange from Cricut Craft Room Basics and sized it at 5 1/4"x4." I then added the "33rd" from Robotz. I cut it out of silver cardstock, then I removed the "33rd" and used the negative image. I stamped "happy" above the number and "birthday" below using a stamp I found in my stash. I then embossed the silver layer with the Diamond Plate embossing folder and my Cuttlebug. I adhered this layer to the teal layer with foam tape because I like the added dimension it created.
I hope you enjoyed my card and I hope you join us at The Perfect Sentiment. I can't wait to see what you create!

  1. Like your use of the Diamond Plate embossing folder which is my go to embossing folder for masculine cards as you can see in my card I created. I also like the cut thru age characters done with the Cricut. I always find it a bit harder to make a masculine card. Enjoying being Sept Guest Designer for Perfect Sentiments.
