Well, the quilt I have been working on is coming along quite well. I have all my blocks cut, now I am laying it all out to make sure I like where everything goes before I start sewing it all together. In the meantime I thought I would do a little paper crafting, since I have been working with fabric a lot lately. Here is the card I created:
It is 4 1/4"x5 1/2." I used white card stock for the base, then cut a black mat at 4"x5 1/4." The mottled purple/blue mat is 3 7/8"x5 1/8." I then cut a black strip at 2 1/4"x5" and hand cut it into a curve. The strip of white is 5/8"x5 1/2."
The sentiment is from Paper Smooches, the "Sentiment Sampler" set. The hearts on the right hand side of the strip are also from Paper Smooches. They are the "o" in the word "loved" on the "Chit Chat" set. I masked off all but the heart and stamped it three times, colored them in, and covered them with star dust Stickles.
The car and cans are from Peachy Keen, the "March 2014 Stamp of the Month" kit. I used the coordinating .svg's to cut the images with my Silhouette, then stamp them. I colored them in and mounted them to the card with foam tape. I added some glossy accents to the windows and mirrors and star dust Stickles to the hears and headlights. I also covered the cans with a shimmery silver gel pen.
Here is the inside, which I also finished. I cut a black card stock mat at 4"x5 1/4" and the mottled purple/blue paper at 3 7/8"x5 1/8." I then cut another black mat at 2 7/8"x4 1/8" and a white mat at 2 3/4"x4." I used another stamp from Paper Smooches for the interior sentiment. This one is from the "Pretty Phrases" set.
I made this card for the following challenges:
