I made a second Mother's Day card today. It is pretty simple and made with just my Silhouette. The card is 4 1/4"x5 1/2," and made from black card stock. The red mat is 4 1/8"x5 3/8," and the floral mat is 4"x5 1/4." The floral mat is actually just black and white, I colored in some parts of it with a red marker for a little pop of color. I used my Silhouette and a font in my computer to create my sentiment, then printed it on some vellum. I used the Silhouette and drew a rectangle around the sentiment, then cut it and adhered it over the floral paper. I finished it off with some glittery gems in each corner.
The inside of the card is also finished. I cut a red mat at 4 1/8"x5 3/8" and a white mat at 3 7/8"x5 1/8." I used a stamp from My Craft Spot for the sentiment. It is from the "Happy Easter" set. I stamped it in Barn Door Distress Ink.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
My Sheri Crafts: celebration of moms
My Craft Spot: Mother's Day or spring
Cute idea!
