This cute little card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I used dark purple for the base, then cut some glittery green cardstock at 5 1/4"x4" for the next layer. I used the same dark purple again, it is cut at 5"x3 3/4" and my final layer, the patterned green cardstock, is 4 3/4"x3 1/2." I cut a strip of dark purple cardstock at 1 1/2"x5" and a strip of the purple polka dot cardstock at 1 1/4"x5." I stamped my sentiment on the polka dot cardstock. The sentiment stamp is from Fiskars. The adorable little octopus was a $1 stamp that I got at JoAnns a couple of years ago, I believe that it is from Studio g. I stamped the octopus on the purple polka dot cardstock, minus her face, then cut her out. I gave her a Peachy Keen face instead. I used the Everyday Character Face Parts to create her face. I colored in the whites of her eyes with a white gel pen and used some purple chalk to give her some blush. I also used a green gel pen to color the accents on her tentacles. I used Mother's Day Boquet to cut the flower she is wearing. I cut it at .625," and I used my Gypsy to be able to cut it at this size. I added a green gem to the center of the flower, then attached her to the card with pop-dots. Nice and simple, but super adorable!
I made this for the following challenges:
She is definitely adorable!
