He Had Me at "Woof"

I made this frame to feature a picture of my old German Shepherd, Gin. My husband and I had to put him down about a year ago. I was browsing through pictures of out time living in Alaska and saw this one of him sitting in Chena Lake and I knew I wanted to make a frame for it. I got the frame at a local craft store. I covered it with patterned cardstock from the Pets Stack by DCWV. I used Pet Shop for the German Shepherd. I flocked both the black and brown portions of the dog, used glossy accents on his nose and mouth and gave him a black pearl for his eye. His name was made using Mickey Font. I then covered it with firefly Stickles. I also used Mickey Font for the dog bone and George and Basic Shapes for the heart. I stamped a paw print on the heart and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. I also stamped the sentiment on the heart and finished it off with some black pearls. I adhered the dog and the heart with pop-dots.

  2. What a great way to remember your loved one. My daughter wants a German Shepherd when she gets older. I had one when I was a kid, so I understand. Hope you will come see what Carri and I have been doing. : )
