Autumn Night

The challenge at Cricut Cardz this week is to make a fall card without using the colors brown, orange or yellow. This goes really well with the challenge at the Alphabet Challenge Blog, which is "T is for Trees." What says fall more than a tree with few or no leaves on it? I used the sketch at Clean & Simple because it just seemed perfect for combining these challenges.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4." I used white cardstock for the base, but covered the front with a piece of this dark blue paper with the stars on it. I was going for a nice, cool autumn evening and the paper seemed like it was a good fit. I used a piece of black cardstock that was 4 1/4"x3 1/2," then I used an EK Success border punch on both sides. The circles is another EK Success punch and is 2 1/2." I cut the tree from October 31st at 2 1/4." It is hard to cut that tree so small, but I slowed down my speed and it worked out pretty well. I used Gypsy Wanderings for the "Autumn" sentiment, I wrote it out with a black Cri-Kit gel pen. I then colored it in and cut it out. I used pop dots to adhere the sentiment. A nice, super simple card that shows a cool, autumn evening with a full moon.
