Wedding Rose

This week's Cupcake Inspirations was a beautiful stack of cupcakes in white doily wrappers with white frosting, white roses and a red bow. I knew I wanted to make a simple wedding card with that sort of inspiration. I used today's sketch from 365 Cards to make the card.

The card is 5 1/2"x4 1/4" and I embossed it with the Textile embossing folder. I used some red ribbon and wrapped it around the card front after putting some slits in the folded side of the card. I tied a bow with a piece of the ribbon and attached it to the top strip of ribbon. I used Sweethearts and cut out a rose at 2." I used the shadow feature to cut it out of red cardstock, then normal out of a cream cardstock and finally the layer is cut out of a white cardstock. I think it turned out quite nicely. Enjoy!
